Dyspatch leverages POT and PO files to make email template localization effortless. POT stands for ‘Portable Object Template’. This file is basically a list of the text strings in an email, which includes copy, URLs, image links, and image descriptions. This makes it easy to swap out an image or link based on locale. Here’s how it works: you export a POT file and pass it along to your localization team, they do their thing and create a PO file for every language you need to support. (A PO file is the ‘filled-in’ version of a POT file.) You upload these PO files to Dyspatch in bulk, and it automatically generates localized versions of your original template. That’s it!
