Stay out of the Penalty Box Email Deliverability with SendGrid

By Matt Harris | November 30, 2016 | Categories: Email Marketing, Events
email deliverability blog
⏱ < 1 minute read

On November 30, 2016, Luke Martinez of SendGrid and I hosted a webinar about Email Deliverability. Luke is a Deliverability Consultant and helps companies sort out complex issues, guiding them on the road to a great Sender Reputation. You put a lot of time, effort, and energy into your email campaigns, however, no one will read them if you’ve developed a bad ‘rep.

A few things we covered:

  • 9 most important email engagement metrics for sending reputation
  • Top 4 expectations for senders
  • How to use A/B testing to try new things without impacting deliverability

One of the top four expectations for email senders includes best practices around handling unsubscribes, such as making it easy for recipients to unsubscribe and honoring the request in a timely manner. I previously dove into the “Art of the Unsubscribe” in a SendGrid blog post – give it a look-see if you’re interested in how to handle unsubscribes with grace, even when you’d rather beg your recipients to stay.

If you missed the webinar, worry not – we recorded the entire thing for your viewing pleasure:

Dyspatch respectfully acknowledges the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ People, whose unceded territories we live and work on. We would also like to express our gratitude to all of the Coast Salish people as we continue to work and live as guests on their lands.

We recognize that acts of colonization created many inequities for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. As a company, we acknowledge that we have a responsibility to work towards reconciliation and to remain open to suggestions and consultations, especially with Indigenous communities.
